Star Citizen codes that actually work in 2026

Maintained by Domux. Editorial approach and referral disclosure

The short version. RSI doesn't issue discount codes for Star Citizen. The one signup-time code that does anything is the Referral Code, and pasting it on the RSI signup form gives a new account 50,000 UEC of in-game currency. Here's that code, plus a verdict on every other code people search for.

The basic rules for codes that work

RSI's Referral Code is the only code system that affects new accounts. It has three rules. None of them are subtle.

  1. Format is STAR-XXXX-XXXX. Three groups separated by dashes, ten characters plus the STAR- prefix. Anything else is not a Referral Code.
  2. Enter at signup, or within 24 hours. The Referral Rewards field exists on the signup form and inside Account Settings for accounts under 24 hours old. After that the field disappears.
  3. Game Package required for the bonus. Code attaches at signup but the 50,000 UEC only credits once the new account completes a qualifying purchase.

FAQ

What Star Citizen codes work in 2026?

RSI advertises the 50,000 UEC signup bonus after buying a Game Package. For the referrer to earn a Recruitment Point, the account must own a Game Package and reach $40 USD in eligible fresh-money spending across the pledge store. Store credit and gifted pledges do not count toward that spend. RSI referral conditions

Are there discount codes for Star Citizen?

No. RSI does not issue percent-off or dollar-off codes on game packages. The only signup-time bonus is the Referral Program (50,000 UEC in-game currency, not a discount on the price). Aggregator sites listing "70 percent off" codes are auto-generated and don't work.

What is the current Star Citizen referral code?

STAR-JTV7-FXLR. See the dated source check below.

Can I get a free Star Citizen key with a code?

No. RSI doesn't issue keys to third parties. Any "Star Citizen key" on G2A, Eneba, or Kinguin is non-functional, fraud-linked, or attached to a stolen account. Buy direct from RSI.

What about Star Citizen coupon codes from aggregator sites?

A referral code adds in-game currency and does not reduce the checkout price. For a cash saving, compare the current RSI package offers. Subscriber coupons are a separate, account-bound benefit; check their terms before subscribing. RSI subscriber coupon terms
